Meredith Thomson is an architect and owner of a high-end custom residential architectural firm, Thomson Architecture, LLC. She understands a home can mean many different things to different people, and it is her goal to bring that dream to life.

After being partner at the renowned architectural firm, Candelaria Design Associates, Meredith started her own firm in June of 2024. Although mainly focusing on new construction, she embraces all styles and scales of residential projects. She draws from her time studying abroad in Rome and her more recent travels, where she gains her inspiration and fuels her passions.

Although a Phoenix Native, Meredith spent time living and working in Chicago, New York City and San Francisco before moving back to Arizona in 2013. She gained experience working with the local craftsman on everything from historic Manhattan brownstones to Lake Tahoe retreats, furthering her desire to carry on the tradition of well designed, well crafted, and timeless homes.

Meredith got her Bachelors in Architecture at the University of Notre Dame. Because the curriculum is based in traditional, hand drafting experience she was able to apply her love for drawing and painting on a daily basis. She gained further education while working with Tucker and Marks Interior Design in San Francisco as their interior architect, broadening her exposure to high level interiors, furniture and textile design. The combined experiences have given her well-rounded and unique approach to her practice.

When not designing homes, Meredith loves to go on adventures with her husband, three kids and dog. She fondly recalls weekend car trips exploring her home state of AZ with her dad and continues the tradition with her own family. She has hiked the Grand Canyon and Havasupai Falls, and is always looking ahead to her next outdoor excursion.
